I have three Christmas Albums that I like to hear yearly.
1. My favorite, Barbara Streisand's Christmas Album. I know, I know, she's Jewish. It makes no sense. But it does make cents which is why she did it. I like her voice and arrangements and we listened to it when I was a kid, so I love it. Here is a little treat for you. It's one of the best songs on the album, and so much fun!
2. Carpenter's Christmas Album. Again, from my childhood, familiar arrangements of songs we have heard a thousand times but still love.
3. Elf Soundtrack... Sam and I love it! It's got some fun songs that may not be Christmas Songs like Pennies From Heaven and Nothing for Nothing. But then it also has 10 well loved Christmas songs.
Check them out!

Love those! Elf is one of our all time favorite movies - period. It just makes us so happy. So the music totally makes us happy too. And Barbara and the Carpenters - happy! I wonder if styles of music we enjoy can some how be in our genes. I'm totally serious...
Hey - that could be a topic - favorite holiday movies - movies you love - movies you hate to love...
I love these albums too. And the movie ELF.. well, I've been quoting it all year. It's time to pop that one in the DVD player.
One of my favorite singers also has a Christmas album or two and if I learned anything from the Jazz Singer (and I like to think I did), we all know he is definitely jewish.
oh, and we just bought elf. I just used a line from that movie on my daughter when she had her head together with a friend's at church on Sunday. I leaned in and quietly said, "I like to whisper, too."
i love being a mom.
