Cream Puffs

I made cream puffs for a book discussion I was hosting. The book was Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt. If you have read it then you know why I made cream puffs. If you haven't read it you should. I have read it four times. It's that good.
But my main problem that day was that I don't have a pasty filler in my collection of culinary tools. So I had to improvise.

I used a little medicine syringe.

And even though I had to concentrate so hard that my tongue stuck out, it worked great.

I chose chocolate, rather than chalk dust as the finishing touch.... Read the book.

I guess there weren't any left over because nobody brought me any.

aren't cream puffs so fun to make?

I like the part where you stir in the eggs and just when you think they aren't going to incorporate, voila! they're in!

I need to make these more, so easy and yummy!!!

And I need to read that book.

My Mom gave me that book a while ago and I haven't read it yet. I haven't read much since the baby was born. Anyway you have inspired me.

I love making cream puffs, but I'm lazy. I just cut them open and fill them that way. I like the syringe idea I never thought of that.

Necessity is the mother of invention!

You spelled pastry wrong and so it says pasty...that made me laugh real hard! Still am.

I want a cream puff right now...so bad! They had them at the youth dance last Saturday and I'm exactly sure I had about 2 dozen. Yummy.

I gotta read Wednesday Wars! Sounds delicious!

Alright, a few posts back there is a picture of Sam doing something, I don't remember what it is, I guess I could look but anyway I almost commented on it, that he was working so hard his tongue is sticking out! Like mother like son...
