Flashback to June

In early June we went to a Literacy Fair at BYU. While there we got to meet several authors and get some of our books signed. We met Brandon Mull, Ally Condie, Jessica Day George, Carla Kelly and a few more.

They had all kinds of activities. This was one of the ones I liked watching Sam do. He got a bout that high and got nervous, but wasn't sure how to get down. We told him to just let go, but he did not want to do that. Poor guy felt stuck. He was a really good climber and would have made it to the top if it weren't for his nerves.

Miss Lola was along for the ride, with yellow feathers in her hair, of course.

Sam got to read the news off a teleprompter. He did a great job.

An he did some bouncing. It was a great fair. They had a calligrapher writing people's names, and some crafts, an art display, and my favorite thing, besides meeting the authors, was a movie about Anne Frank. If they do it a again next year, we will be back.

That looks so fun! Sam's smile is hilarious in the first picture! He's so funny! Good for him for trying the climbing rock thing. Next year he'll go all the way to the top!
