My husband and I had a laugh over it - we didn't realize earwigs were so cunning.Priscillanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7209313865098686711.post-18202855651838825252009-05-22T14:09:46.918-07:002009-05-22T14:09:46.918-07:00I know you hate cats, but maybe you should get a c...I know you hate cats, but maybe you should get a carport watch cat. You could build him a little Watch tower and everything now that you have such great DIY Skillz!

First Plumbing then building!Holleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17193908499394267612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7209313865098686711.post-70232590499482372312009-05-22T07:38:43.034-07:002009-05-22T07:38:43.034-07:00We have squatters too, out in the barn shed. I am curious, but not curious enough to stick my head up there.
Our other squatters are yellow jackets/wasps. We knock their litte paper houses down, spray them with poison and it only kills the ones that were in the direct line of fire. And then the next day some have built another house.
Birds, Ants, and yellow jackets--there must be a vacancy sign out somewhere that I have not notices. But not for long. There will be no room at the Inn on June 6.Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18122980984338694209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7209313865098686711.post-75752102559327869422009-05-21T13:09:47.267-07:002009-05-21T13:09:47.267-07:00UGH! Ever since we've had them, 4 years now? - since we had the backyard done and made it such an inviting habitat for all things beautiful - some birds (I think they are finches) have tried to build a nest, in the exact same spot, right smack in the middle of the doorway, on the top ridge of those blinds, maybe an inch wide. It wasn’t going to work! The porch step gets covered with sticks and strings and fluffy stuff, AND flowers from our Snow in Summer plants! Nothing they brought stayed on this little ridge. And I never understood why they kept coming back year after year to go through the same frustration. Until this year...They are evolving, adapting - something - a smarter, better bird has arrived and is actually making it work. And I feel awful every time I do it but I knock down the little balancing pieces every morning. Thanks for showing the pictures of your car - makes me feel a little better for being an ogre of destruction.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10244966518827093213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7209313865098686711.post-88984473055964198362009-05-20T12:06:00.656-07:002009-05-20T12:06:00.656-07:00If I had a BB gun, I'd bring it down this weekend ...If I had a BB gun, I'd bring it down this weekend and we'd have a go at the bird. The crafty creature we got earlier was some kind of burrowing fuzzy thing. I think Harold outwitted it, but we'll see.Jeannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07033871890009593897noreply@blogger.com
