It's too hot!

I was going to blog today, but I kept getting sweat in my eyes, and since I'm already bad at typing I thought it would be best not to. Plus it's too hot to think about what to write. It was 55 degrees one day last week, WHAT HAPPENED?!!! I'm already ready for the snow to come back.

Sunday Morning

Well, my Sisters in-law kept me out until midnight on Friday night(ROCK ON JAY JAY), and we had another late night on Saturday, so on Sunday morning we all slept in. As I lay in my bed until noon, Sam came in and out. I finally decided to press my luck and I asked him to make me breakfast and bring it to me in bed. He laughed and said, "It's not Mother's Day". I told him that it's not kids day either so I guessed I didn't have to make him any breakfast. He told me,"Everyday is kids day, unless it's Mother's Day, or Father's Day, or Grandma Day, or Grandpa Day, or Uncle Day, or Becky - wait, Aunt Day, and I don't mean the kind of ants that pick up crumbs."

Then today he asked me why some girls grow mustaches in their arm pits. Oh yeah, he's a deep thinker. But what does that tell you about me?

.... No more giving dirty looks.

I know I'm not a teacher, but you know that saying:
"No more Homework, No more Books, No more Teachers’ Dirty Looks"? Well, someone needs to make one up for the teachers (and their assistants), because who knew what a relief summer is to those who work in a school. I guess I had never thought about it before. Boy, am I relieved.
School's been out for nearly a week now and I have lost all motivation and self discipline (what little I had anyway). I had amazing plans starting with the first week off. I was going to exercise every day. So far, I'm zero for four. I was going to "spring clean" and scrub a room a day and since I was going to do the family room and dining room as one room I was going to have a sparkling house by the end of the week. You know, top to bottom, left to right, wiping everything including baseboards. So far, I did scrub the bathrooms, which look amazing, and I tidied up my room and cleaned out my night stand, purged my dresser and closet and I washed one window, and Becky washed the other. But I have yet to dust and vacuum anything in the house. Oh, and I did spend an afternoon helping Sam purge his toys, still not done yet.
There is a huge fear lurking in the back of my head. I'm going back to work in 2.5 months and it's going too fast. So today I have shut down for a few hours. I went and "cleaned out" the Activity Days closet at the church, but since then all I've done is lay on my bed.
Also I have worked two mornings at the Rec this week and I'm changing my evening to Thursdays so I get to go to the Rec and work again tonight.
So far, not the summer I pictured.
